B.Sc. Nsg. Course Details

Duration - 4 yrs.

Time to commencement of course - September/ October every year
Degree awarded by Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).

Eligibility: 10 +2 years of general education or recognised as equivalent thereto with minimum 50% marks in the optinals of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Admission Procedure

  1. Management Quota
    35% of the total seats will be filled up by the management based on applications received against the notification by the college / management in accordance with merit.
  2. N R I quota
    15% of the total seats shall be filled up by children / dependant of Non resident Indians.
  3. Govt. Quota
    50% of the total seats in the college of nursing will be filled up by the Government from the list prepared by the Director, LBS Centre in accordance with merit and reservation principles followed by Govt of Kerala.

How to Apply

  1. N R I Seats
    15% of the total seats shall be filled up by children / dependant of Non resident Indians. Such students shall be liable to pay annual tuition fees upto 2,00,000/- (maximum limit fixed by Govt.of Kerala)
  2. Management quota Seats
    Applications are issued through college office. Completed application form shall be submitted at college office.
  3. Govt. Quota
    Application to be submitted to Director, LBS Centre, Trivandrum.

Fee for the course

Current fees charged Rs. 40,000/- per annum for Govt. quota and Rs. 78,000/- per annum for management quota. Also there is a special fee of Rs 19,500/- for all students charged per year. For NRI quota Rs. 2,00,000/-( maximum limit fixed by Govt. Of Kerala) will be charged as permitted by relevant orders of Govt. Kerala / Hon'ble Court.

Above mentioned fees are likely to be changed in case of direction from legal authority like Court/ Fee Regulatory Committee.

System of University Examinations

University examinations are conducted at the end of each academic year. In addition regular periodic internal examinations are conducted for ongoing and continuous evaluation. 25% of total marks in the university examinations are taken from their internal examination marks.

Fees for the Course

Current fees charged Rs. 49400/- per annum. Also there is a special fee charged per year. For NRI quota a higher fees will be charged as permitted by relevant orders of Govt. Kerala / Hon'ble Court.

Recognition / Approval of Course

The course is recognised by Kerala nurses and Midwives council and recognition by Indian Nursing Council. B.Sc. NSG. Degree is awarded by Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) to which the college is affiliated. Also we have necessary permission from Govt. of Kerala to conduct the course.

Eligibility for Application

- A pass in higher secondary examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & biology as optional subjects with an aggregate of 40% for optional subjects. In the absence of candidates with above qualification, a pass in +2 or equivalent with any other group as optional subjects will be considered. Both men & women can apply.

How to apply:

- Application can be obtained from office of school on payment of fees Rs 200/-

Admission procedure

Based on marks obtained in the optional of higher secondary examinations and marks obtained in the interview for selection of candidates.

Fees. Rs. 25000/ per year.
Examination - yearly examination conducted by K N M C in addition to regular internal examinations.
